How to Set Up a Google Business Profile Review Link

A direct review link takes guests straight to the Google box where they write their opinion. Without it, many people give up after searching for your venue. Setting it up takes a few minutes, and it is the base for every NFC card or QR sign you use to collect reviews.

Before you start

  • You need a verified Google Business Profile for your venue.
  • You should be able to sign in with the Google account that manages it.
  • Keep a phone nearby to test the link.

Step 1: open your profile

Sign in to Google with the account that manages your business and search for your venue name. On your own profile you will see management options, including an option to ask for reviews or share a review form.

Step 2: copy the review link

Choose the option to share the review form. Google shows a link you can copy. Paste it into a notes app so you do not lose it. The link usually opens the review window directly when tapped on a phone.

Step 3: test it

Open the link on an iPhone and on an Android phone, ideally while signed in to a different Google account from the one that manages the profile. Check that the right venue name appears and that the star rating box opens. If you manage several locations, repeat the test for each one, since every location has its own link.

Step 4: put it on a physical support

A link on a screen is easy to forget. Putting it on a physical object makes the request visible at the right moment.

  • An NFC review card opens the link with one tap. You write the link onto the card once and can rewrite it later.
  • A QR code on a sign works for guests without NFC. See the signage options for table and counter formats.

Step 5: choose where to place it

Think about the moment when a guest is most satisfied: paying the bill, leaving a room, picking up an order. Place the card or sign exactly there. Our guide on placing stands on tables and counters gives layout ideas.

Step 6: ask in person

A friendly sentence from your team makes the sign more effective: "If you enjoyed it, a tap on this card helps us a lot." Keep it light and never pressure guests or offer rewards in exchange for positive wording, because review platforms have rules about incentives.

Step 7: reply to what comes in

Check new reviews regularly and answer them. A calm reply to criticism shows future guests how you handle problems. We explain the tone in how to reply to Google reviews.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a separate link for each location?

Yes. Each location in your profile has its own review link, so each venue needs its own card or sign.

What if the link stops working?

Open your profile again, copy the current link and rewrite the NFC card or replace the QR code. NFC cards can be reprogrammed.

Can I reuse the same card in another venue?

Yes, if the card is reprogrammable. Write the new location link on it.

Once the link works on both phones, you are ready to make it visible to your guests.
